All Unsold Lots of Paris Disneyana Auction Now Available With a 30% Discount Until January 3 !

Good news for those of you interested in buying unsold lots of the Paris Disneyana auction which happened on Dec 5: after consultation with the different vendors of the auction I have the pleasure to inform you that you can acquire the unsold lots that interest you with a 30% discount of the low estimate of each object (the lower estimates were generally equivalent to the auction starting price of each object).

Important Note: The 30% discount is valid until January 3 only, so don't wait too long if you're interested by some lots.

To find the unsold lots go on the auction site at the link site below and the unsold lots are those where there is marked only “Enchères Terminées" in large font ( the lots sold during the auction are those marked in red ‘RESULTAT’ plus the price awarded). Above “Enchères Terminées » you'll find the lot estimate written in numbers. You take the number of the low estimate and you deduct 30% from it.
Example: If there is marked « Estimate "100-150 €" the number of €100 is the one of the lower estimate (and the starting price during the auction) and with a 30% discount it puts now the lot price at 70 €.

The 30% discount is valid on all lots unsold during the auction except lots 120, 123, 128, 160, 208, 210, 215, 217, 221, 226, 337 and 338 which have already been sold elsewhere.

The 30% discount is particularly interesting for two of the nicest lots in the sale, the rare Nautilus by Master Replica (Lot 209) and the Pirate auctioneer of POTC replica (lot 228)

Finally, the ORIGINAL artworks (so, unique pieces) attraction concept designed by Imagineer Tom Thordarson are 500 € each (Lots 246, 247, 248, 249 and 250 and were estimated between 700 and € 1,200) and the beautiful painting of Walt Disney (about 80cm high x 60cm wide) is also now at 500 € ( with an estimate between 1000 and 1500 € )

Those who are interested in buying one or more lots with the 30% reduction should send me an email at: neverlandeditions@gmail.com and I will put you in touch then with the different sellers. Shipping costs are not included and will be added but there is obviously no more auction fees (which were of 24% during the auction).

Star Wars : The Force Awakens Review - with Absolutely NO Spoilers

SO, i saw Star Wars : The Force Awakens today and here is my feeling about it - just a feeling more than a real review to don't spoil anything. There is absolutely NO spoilers down there so you can read it - or not, as you wish.

Let's put it this way: i liked it really, and even quite a lot, as it is a real "Star Wars" film. What i mean by that is this: when you do a Star Wars movie there is a certain number of "boxes" that you have to check. You must have laser saber fights, alien monsters, battle in space, a real bad villain, not to mention a story with Shakespearian dimension, etc... and there is quite a lot of boxes to check when you do a SW film. And J.J Abrams has checked all the boxes, meaning that all you are awaiting to see in a Star Wars movie is here.

But it's also a bit more complicated as not only you must have "this and that" scenes but they also must have the right "energy", they need to "vibrate" in a certain way. And where J.J Abrams is really smart it's that he succeeded to find the right energy for each scene. Congrats to him for that and too to Lawrence Kasdan for an excellent script as well to most of the actors as almost all of them are perfect in the role they have and in the AGE that their role is supposed to have.

That said, it's the start of a new trilogy with both an old and a new generation and the new generation is going to grow up like they did in the previous trilogies. The only difference is that we don't start here with a 10 year old boy but with characters who are supposed to have the age they have in real life and mostly the same age the characters had in the very first Star Wars movie, i.e episode 4. There is one or two things on which i'm a little bit less convinced but i won't discuss these today as i really don't want to spoil anything in any way.

If you've seen the movie today and if you leave a comment below, again, do NOT spoil the storyline, please don't say anything about the plot to don't spoil the movie for those who don't have seen it yet. That said, i think that most of you will enjoy it a lot IF you don't expect from the movie more than it is supposed to deliver. But it's a real Star Wars movie, there is no doubt about that, with the right Star Wars "spirit", so you don't have to worry about that.

D&M Soaring Over The World : Second Version With New Destinations !

I'll be on the move the next two days but i have something cool for you today. Remember my home made version of a "Soaring Over the World" movie two months ago? Most of you enjoyed it a lot, and now i enhanced the previous version with new destinations around the world, keeping some that were in the first one, adding new ones and of course always keeping Jerry Goldsmith original awesome score. And i think you will enjoyed it a lot again.

The first version was done using only Apple TV Wallpapers movies which all had the same definition and filmed the same way. In this new version the new clips don't always have the same definition but you might not notice it. There are others destinations that i wanted to include but unfortunately i couldn't find the needed clips, may be later in a third version... Hope you'll enjoy this new flight "over the world" while we wait for the real SOTW movie to open at Shanghaî Disneyland, DCA and Epcot next year, thanks to let me know in the comments!

Shanghaî Disneyland Update: New Disney Town Artwork, First Pictures of SDL Station, Peter Pan's Flight Pics, Expedition Everest Envisioned for SDL, and more...

I've got a big Shanghaî Disneyland update for you today so, let's go, would we? Above, a photo of the castle posted on the Weibo website and below new artwork - or high-res versions of previously released artworks of Disney Town, the dining and entertainment area of Shanghaî Disneyland.

This first one shows the area with the World of Disney store.

Another rendering, also related to the World of Disney store

Next is a picture showing the model of the area where is located the Walt Disney Theater with the Lion King musical.

Below, a high-res version of the rendering showing Spicy Alley with the restaurants near the lake.

The next artwork is a cropped version of a larger rendering showing Disney Town at night.

Next is two pictures posted by Orlando Theme Park News, and related to the new version of Peter Pan's Flight in Fantasyland showing one of the ride vehicle and Neverland Island which i have to say looks really much bigger than the usual decor.

A Chinese TV news video included new footage showing the park and resort, and i did some screen captures for you. The first shot below shows the castle filmed most probably from Tomorrowland as we can see the elevated walkways in the foreground.

A closer shot on the castle showing that they're still at work on the lower part of the castle.

This next shot shows the Shanghaî Disneyland Hotel, the park is on the other side of the lake but you can't see it clearly because of Shanghaî usual smog...

A closer shot on a center part of the hotel, you'll note that the scaffoldings are still in place all over the hotel, meaning that the works are not over here too.

Next screen capture is a shot showing what is on the left of the picture above with the paths leading to the park on the other side of the lake, and Spicy Alley building in the background, near the lake.

But Shanghaî Disneyland will also have a subway station and we've got plenty of pictures of it, outside and inside, as this one is apparently finished! First is a bird eye view with the park in the background.

A closer shot on one of the entrance.

Another picture showing one of the station exits and the inside of the station.

More pictures of the inside of the station...

The green color on the ceiling pattern on the picture below makes me feel like if it was inside one of the eggs from Ridley Scott's Alien! No kidding.

Last picture, view from the lake...

Now, something about Shanghaî Disneyland opening date. Last week, DCP forum member Vinc said he had an info from a reliable source saying that SDL opening is planned for June but others sources keep saying they still doubt the park can be ready for that date. And this week-end a Chinese TV said that the park is scheduled for an opening on June 1st, as it is a date related with childhood, etc... My feeling is that they're trying to be ready for that date, or another one in June, but i'm not sure that SDL Imagineers are themselves convinced that it's feasible, that everything will be ready for a June opening. We'll know more about this anytime soon, i suppose.

Let's end by something that IceGr33n ( or someone else if it's not him ) has discovered, looking at a plan of the park. It's about an area for a future expansion where he thinks that some layouts would indicate that an Expedition Everest is envisioned for the back of Shanghaî Disneyland, behind Fantasyland and Treasure Cove. Have a look at the pictures below, but i have to say that when you look at the layouts on the plan and the satellite view of Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom it surely looks similar. As said Screamscape in his post, as the park don't have a lot of roller coasters that could be a way to bring one more coaster to Shanghaî Disneyland.

My only concern about building an Expedition Everest in the park is a political issue. The real Everest is located both on Nepal AND Tibet, and we know that China and Tibet relations are specially difficult. Politically speaking, anything about Everest has so much symbolic that it might be not a good idea to even think about building one. On the other hand, Chinese are so much attached to consider the "roof of the world" as a mountain more Chinese than belonging to any other country that it probably will please them... We'll see what happen in the future about this but this SDL plan may also be an earlier SDL plan and since some ideas may have been deleted by SDL Imagineers. So take this rumor with a big pinch of salt...

And... that's all for today about Shanghaî Disneyland, more updates coming soon, so stay tuned on D&M and Disney and more Facebook page HERE!

First Trailer and New Poster for X-Men Apocalypse

I like really a lot the X-Men movies, specially those directed by Bryan Singer. I like them even much more than any of the others Marvel movies, probably at the exception fo the first Captain America, and may be the first Avengers. And, good news, as the first trailer for the new upcoming X-Men movie "X-Men Apocalypse" has been released with also the official synopsis:

"Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction".

X-Men: Apocalypse will be released on May 27th, 2016 and also stars Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Lucas Till as Havok, and newcomers Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Ben Hardy as Angel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, Lana Condor as Jubilee, and Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse.
